Custom Finishes for The Grey Café

This project brought together thoughtful design and material innovation. Working closely with the café’s team, we supplied tailored cladding and furniture solutions throughout the space — all using Velwood, a newly launched finish by Abet Laminati that mimics the feel of real wood with a refined, matte texture.

From feature wall panels to bar counters, shelving, and built-in seating, the Velwood finish was used to establish a consistent, grounded tone across the café. The muted grain and soft-touch surface complemented the lounge’s neutral palette and minimalist architecture, enhancing both the ambiance and tactile experience.

By pairing our craftsmanship with Velwood’s sensory appeal, The Grey became more than just a coffee destination — it became a spatial experience. Every detail contributes to a cohesive design language that invites guests to slow down and take in the surroundings, reinforcing The Grey’s identity as one of Dubai’s standout cafés.
